Pakistan Denies Sheltering Iranian Aircraft at Nur Khan Air Base

Pakistan has officially denied charges that it has harbored Iranian military aircraft at Nur Khan Air Base to shield them from any attacks by the United States, which appear to be imminent due to the tenuous ceasefire between Washington and Tehran reaching a critical juncture. Although the United States had alleged that some Iranian aircraft had been moved into Pakistan since the April 8 ceasefire, Pakistani officials argue that these aircraft are part of regular diplomatic efforts in connection with ongoing peace talks. The denials follow President Trump describing the ceasefire as being on massive life support, while he deemed Iran’s new 14-point proposal unacceptable.
